Similar to rain

The selected ravings of a most peculiar young man.

Here's the skinny:

My family - still the same, just as bad (and I'll admit it, as good) as ever.

Me - no better than anyone else, so why the fuck do I think I'm in any position to sit and judge? (also still sick, but getting better)

My cousin Nate's new girlfriend - very very nice (good for him), but why did she have to go and give me stupid perspective on my familial relationships?

Nothing has changed, of course, I just feel like an ass (as well I should, probably). There's probably something to be said about why I'm uncomfortable like that... but you know what? I don't want to say it, so I won't.

And keep in mind that "de nial" is just a river in Egypt. That's it.

Happy birthday Jesus! And of course, a very merry Festivus (for the rest of us) to all. Still sick as a dog, but it is starting to feel more like Christmas!

Unfortunately, that's only because my sister and stepmom started the customary sniping of other family members behind their backs. And look - here I go, too! And I say I don't fit into this family, ha!

I also hope that I wasn't as annoying as my little brother is when I was his age, although I'm almost positive I probably was. That shouldn't be as upsetting as it is.

Anyway... peace on earth, good will toward EVERYONE! As I like to say, I'll be home for Christmas... if only in my dreams.

Have a merry and a proud.

I'm sick as a dog, and I look like crap, but hey - what can I do? I feel bad sitting in bed while my little brother's Christmas is sucking. I don't understand why he likes me, but the fact remains that he does. I'm going to shower and head over there and do my best to give him the same misconception that I had at his age that the holidays are a happy time.

Honestly, this is the least Christmassy Christmas ever for me. But hey, I had a pretty good run. Now let me go try and give my little brother that kind of run too.

Greetings true believers!

The good news is I got my grades and ended up with about an A minus average. Considering how many classes I skip, how am I going to complain about that?

The bad news is my mom apparently tried to pay her credit card bill from my checking account accidentally (it's a joint account since I've had it since I was like 15 or 16) and I only had about 15 dollars in it to begin with. That means my account is now overdrawn six hundred dollars, with the overcharge fees and all. She's not sure if it was her fault or the computer's, but she's going to go try and get it all taken care of tomorrow. As far as I can tell, it doesn't really affect me much, so I don't think it's a big deal, really.

Did everybody have a happy Winter Solstice? It was the 21st this year. That means the days are going to be getting longer from now on! Well, that is until the Summer Solstice. And then they'll start getting shorter again. These solstice things aren't really a big deal to me anyway, since I hardly sleep and even when I do its at bizarre hours.

And that's all I have to say about that.
